You need a space.
Individual Psychotherapy & Counseling — Teletherapy based in Connecticut
Do you struggle with anxiety, overthinking, and letting people in ?
Therapy is a space to work through fears and doubts, gain clarity, and reconnect with what matters.
The Process
I know logic and autonomy are important to you. You’ve built a life around figuring things out on your own.
But sometimes, old strategies stop working. The usual ways of coping (like "just pushing through,” distracting, numbing, and analyzing) aren’t giving you the clarity or control they used to.
That’s where therapy comes in. Not as a place to vent endlessly or dwell on the past, but as a structured, collaborative process to figure things out.
Moving at a pace that's comfortable for you, we'll take a closer look at what's working for you and what may no longer be serving you.
As we process the concerns and themes that come to the surface, you may feel lighter, more at peace with yourself, and more present in your relationships.
My Approach
I use an integrative approach, grounded in humanistic principles and influenced by psychodynamic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy.
Treatment is holistic and tailored to your own unique life experiences and individual needs. My hope is to create a comfortable and welcoming environment, where you can feel safe enough to be your true, unfiltered self and explore your inner world.
Within a “here and now” framework, we’ll explore any unconscious conflicts and past experiences, and their impact on current relationship dynamics and behaviors. Sometimes I will offer practical skills and coping strategies. Other times, we’ll focus on accepting what cannot be changed, committing to actions aligned with your core values.
The goal is to reconnect with yourself and the present moment, work through any unfinished business in your psyche that’s keeping you stuck, and integrating your analytical mind and emotional mind so you can consistently access your inner wisdom.

Wendi Brodis
LMHC, LPC
I’m a licensed mental health counselor in New York and a licensed professional counselor in Connecticut, with over a decade of experience in the field.
My career began in forensic mental health counseling, where I learned the complexities of the human condition, and what we’re capable of. The harm, chaos and destruction, as well as the insight, humility and change. This opened my eyes to how far we can fall and for what can still be possible, even after our darkest moments.
My forensic background continues to shape my mindset and my commitment to creating a space where you can explore your inner world openly, honestly, and with care.
