About Me
I’m a licensed professional counselor in Connecticut, passionate about creating space for analytical, independent individuals to explore their inner world without pressure or pretense.
Many people walk through life wearing well-crafted armor. Protective layers built to navigate challenges, maintain control, and keep others at a safe distance.
These layers serve a purpose. They help us survive, adapt, and even thrive. But they don’t tell the whole story.
Some of us have been wearing armor for so long that it feels fused to our skin. It’s so ingrained that we mistake it for our identity.
But here’s the truth: armor is something you have the power to put on and take off.
And the process of self-discovery doesn’t have to be painful. It can be as exciting as tackling a new challenge, problem-solving at work, or traveling to a new place.
Therapy is about getting curious about your armor - exploring its layers, honoring its purpose, and questioning whether it’s still serving you.
As we do this work, the armor loosens, and for the first time in a long time, you get to choose when and how you wear it.
Each layer you remove is an opportunity to reconnect with your humanness. Your fears, feelings, insecurities, resentments, and regrets, along with the strengths, values, and desires hidden underneath.
In this space, you’re free to be unfiltered, flawed, and real.
What most people discover is that beneath all the layers, there’s a person far more interesting, likable, and whole than any well-crafted mask.
A natural byproduct of this realization? Less shame. Less anxiety. More confidence. More connection. And a life that actually feels fulfilling, without the need for numbing, perfectionism, or constant self-defense.
When you own your flaws and embrace your humanity, you free yourself from the pressure to perform. You stop managing how you’re perceived and start living. And as a result, it becomes much easier to accept others as they are too —imperfections and all.
